Job Description

Job Title: Steam Engineer

Location: Nationwide (UK and Europe)

Salary: £40-50k, dependent on experience, with excellent benefits

Perpetual Engineering is seeking a skilled Steam Engineer to join our team. As a Steam Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of industrial combustion systems on steam boilers across various client sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Commissioning: Set up and commission industrial combustion systems on steam boilers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Perform planned and reactive maintenance on steam boilers and associated equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Project Support: Contribute to the successful delivery of projects nationwide, providing technical expertise and support to clients.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, gaining a deep understanding of their sites and operational systems.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Qualifications: HNC/Level 4 qualification or above in engineering or a related discipline, and relevant gas qualifications (e.g., COCN1, ICPN1, TPCP1, CORT1).
  • Technical Skills: Solid engineering background, particularly within the electrical/electronic sectors, and hands-on experience with industrial burners from leading manufacturers.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Strong knowledge of steam, hot water, and thermal fluid systems, and flexibility to undertake overnight stays across the UK and Europe as needed.
