Work Schedule: Flexible Hours
- Day Shifts (12-hour duration)
- Waking Night Shifts (12-hour duration)
- Long Day Sleeps (8am to 11pm sleep-in)
Role Overview:
This position involves providing support to children and adolescents facing various challenges, including emotional and behavioral difficulties, mental health concerns, and learning disabilities. Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of relevant experience within the UK.
Support Structure:
These roles operate on a 2:1 support basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care to children and young individuals, assisting them in achieving their full potential.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children is maintained at all times.
- Encourage educational development, promote independent living skills, and maintain a nurturing home environment.
- Document detailed notes for each shift to maintain accurate records.
- Engage professionally with other professionals involved in the care of the children.
- Uphold essential safeguarding practices.
- Communicate effectively with service users and professionals.
Client Needs:
The young individuals in these roles may present with a variety of needs, including:
- Challenging and aggressive behaviors
- Learning disabilities
- Autistic Spectrum Conditions
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Personality Disorders
- Self-injurious behaviors
- Mental health diagnoses
- History of abuse
- Inappropriate behaviors
Candidate Requirements:
- Child and Adult DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- At least one year of experience in a similar role within the UK.
- References covering the last three years of employment.
- Willingness to travel to various locations as needed.
