Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our team at Pearson Whiffin Recruitment Ltd. As a Saw Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a saw to cut metal, working accurately and with minimal waste from technical drawings, and contributing to the cleanliness, tidiness, and maintenance of the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a saw to cut metal in a fast-paced workshop environment
  • Work accurately and with minimal waste from technical drawings
  • Conduct routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance
  • Contribute to the cleanliness, tidiness, and maintenance of the workshop
  • Operate a forklift when required, with training provided

Requirements

  • Experience operating a saw or similar hand tools/machinery in a manufacturing workshop environment
  • A practical, methodical, and proactive attitude
  • A good level of physical fitness
  • The ability to read technical drawings
  • Energetic and able to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Stable and reliable, seeking a long-term opportunity
  • The right to work in the UK - no sponsorship opportunities are available for this role
  • A driving license and own vehicle - this is essential due to the location
