Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our team at Pearson Whiffin Recruitment Ltd. As a Saw Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a saw to cut metal, working accurately and with minimal waste from technical drawings, and contributing to the cleanliness, tidiness, and maintenance of the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a saw to cut metal in a fast-paced workshop environment
- Work accurately and with minimal waste from technical drawings
- Conduct routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Contribute to the cleanliness, tidiness, and maintenance of the workshop
- Operate a forklift when required, with training provided
Requirements
- Experience operating a saw or similar hand tools/machinery in a manufacturing workshop environment
- A practical, methodical, and proactive attitude
- A good level of physical fitness
- The ability to read technical drawings
- Energetic and able to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Stable and reliable, seeking a long-term opportunity
- The right to work in the UK - no sponsorship opportunities are available for this role
- A driving license and own vehicle - this is essential due to the location
