Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Buyer - Interiors (CMF) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing a wide range of technical components for our programs of work. This role requires strong technical purchasing skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Sourcing and Purchasing: Source and purchase technical components from suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality of goods.
- Supplier Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the administration of inventory, including stockholding, cash flow, and capital employed improvement opportunities.
- Documentation and Administration: Manage all documentation associated with receipts, delivery notes, certificates of conformity, and invoices.
- Financial Management: Analyze and approve invoices, and work with the Finance department to ensure accurate payment processing.
- Dispatch Note System: Oversee the operation of the Dispatch Note system to ensure authorized releases of goods.
- Project Management: Provide project managers with accurate information on product availability and delivery dates.
- Production Support: Provide production personnel with accurate information on availability of goods and services and delivery dates.
- Supplier Performance: Monitor and manage supplier performance, including on-time delivery, right-first-time-in-full, non-conformance, and other key performance indicators.
- Communication and Collaboration: Serve as the single point of contact for all technical purchasing matters and queries, interacting with technical suppliers as necessary.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and highlight areas for continuous improvement, and contribute to the development of new processes and procedures.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as procurement, supply chain management, or engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in technical purchasing and supplier management.
- Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong technical purchasing skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
