Job Summary

Higgidy is seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to join our team. As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the site meets all legislative and customer standards, including group policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage communications and maintain relationships with customers and external contacts to ensure seamless collaboration and mutual understanding.
  • Provide technical expertise to the site management team, driving informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Implement effective KPI reporting and management review processes to drive continuous improvement and optimize site performance.
  • Develop and grow the on-site technical team, including training and succession planning, to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Deliver the internal audit program for the site within prescribed timescales, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement an effective risk management process and root cause investigation to drive continuous improvement and minimize risks.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in quality/technical management roles in fast-paced, chilled, food manufacturing environments.
  • Technical knowledge and expertise within chilled food, with a strong understanding of industry regulations and standards.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of preparing and hosting BRC audits, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proven skills in developing and leading teams, with a focus on coaching and mentoring to drive individual and team performance.
  • The ability to deliver a compelling vision for technical quality at all levels, both internally and externally, to drive business growth and success.
