BAM Construct & Ventures UK is seeking a skilled Mobile Maintenance Technician to join our team in the South West Region. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant and equipment.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with an on-call rota. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a company van, matched pension contributions, private healthcare, life assurance, 25 days holiday, overtime, travel time, on-call and sick pay.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and service plant and equipment, including gas boilers and appliances, in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Identify and order spare parts as needed.
- Ensure all tasks are completed within contractual time scales.
- Prepare and implement risk assessments and method statements for works on site.
- Liaise with subcontractors to ensure safe execution of works.
- Monitor and order stock for related items.
- Assist in the provision of associated services, including general plumbing work and statutory inspection and testing of mechanical and electrical services.
- Pricing up minor work jobs and obtaining quotations for materials.
- Assist in the fulfilment of health and safety responsibilities.
- Provide general support duties.
- Ensure the operation of heating plant, fire alarm systems, and lighting systems.
- Carry out and supply meter readings for utility consumption.
- Participate in the on-call roster.
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mobile Maintenance Technician with:
- Experience working in a busy service environment.
- Relevant gas or electrical qualifications.
- Ability to read, understand, and diagnose faults using as-installed drawings, as-installed schedules, contract specifications, and equipment.
- Full driving license.
- Reliability and good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to use initiative in day-to-day duties.
