Financial Controller

SF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join a dynamic distribution business in Sutton Coldfield. As a key member of the finance team, you will report directly to the Finance Director and be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure adherence to group reporting timetables and deadlines
- Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting strategies
- Identify opportunities for process and system improvement
- Supervise and manage the purchase and sales ledger teams
- Maintain optimal cash flow and liquidity
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely manner
- Support the external audit process and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
To be considered for this role, you must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a strong background in financial management. You will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of finance professionals.
