We are partnering with a Local Authority in Islington to support the appointment of an ESOL Teacher on a 3-month contract, with potential for extension. Key Responsibilities:- Design and deliver accredited and non-accredited ESOL programs in various community settings, including neighbourhood learning centres, libraries, schools, and children's centres.
- Integrate Digital Skills and Employability into course design and delivery to enhance learner outcomes.
- Engage with local residents through effective assessment tools, innovative lesson planning, and contextualized teaching techniques.
- Collaborate with Team Leaders and Curriculum Managers to develop and improve ESOL programs, ensuring they meet the needs of local residents and support progression to further education or employment.
- Contribute to course, area, and curriculum reviews to identify areas for improvement and enhance learner retention, completion, and achievement rates.
- A Level 3 teaching qualification, such as PTLLS or AET, or equivalent, accompanied by relevant teaching and industry experience.
- Minimum Level 2 literacy and numeracy skills, as evidenced by GCSE, CSE, GCE, or Functional Skills qualifications.
- Substantial experience in teaching adults in community or FE college settings.
- You should be available to start immediately or at short notice.
- You must have the right to work in the UK.
- This role requires an enhanced DBS check.
