Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Supervisor to oversee operations in a composting facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily activities and ensuring efficient processing of garden waste into high-quality compost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized site, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Supervise staff and contractors in the execution of shredding, screening, turning, and loading of compost materials.
- Operate machinery and conduct daily inspections, documenting any defects or damages and coordinating repairs as necessary.
- Plan and oversee maintenance activities across various equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Direct the flow of waste delivery vehicles within the site, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and monitor compliance with operational standards.
- Engage with regulatory inspectors as needed to ensure adherence to permits and legal requirements.
Working Conditions:
This position requires a commitment of 42 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a competitive salary of £33,000 per annum, along with opportunities for overtime.
