Health and Safety Manager Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our client's team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health and safety standards across the business.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures across all sites
* Review and implement emergency planning & evacuation procedures
* Provide health and safety advice and guidance to all levels of the business
* Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans including COSHH assessments
* Develop and deliver health and safety training programs & assist in staff inductions
* Monitor and review health and safety performance metrics
* Keep up to date with relevant health and safety legislation and industry best practices
* Work with external agencies and stakeholders on health and safety issues
* Lead health and safety committees and other relevant forums

**Requirements**

* Experienced HS&E professional with relevant NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent)
* Extensive working knowledge of health & safety at work regulations
* UK driving license, happy to commute to other business locations as required
* Very good general IT skills (MS Office)

**What We Offer**

Our client is a highly successful manufacturer and wholesaler, who supply FMCG products to retail outlets across the UK. This is a newly-created position, where the successful candidate will be responsible for drawing up procedures, monitoring HS&E across multiple UK sites, and become the 'go-to' person in the business for all HS&E requirements.
