PhD Research Scientist

Proclinical Staffing is working with a pharmaceutical organization to find a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scientist to join their team in Reading. In this role, you will be involved in high-impact research projects from discovery to advanced clinical development of Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs). Your work will support the creation of mechanistic PKPD, population PK, and systems pharmacology models for ADCs, contributing to transformative advancements in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a comprehensive and flexible framework (Clinical Utility Index) for modeling ADC PKPD and the Exposure-Response relationship in both preclinical and clinical settings.
- Determine the appropriate dose and regimen to achieve a better therapeutic index and understand preliminary dosing requirements.
- Develop a cellular mathematical model with a deep understanding of physiochemical properties, target product profiles, and the mechanism of action of ADC components (mAb, linker, payload, and conjugated ADCs).
- Assess the molecule's therapeutic index by evaluating its affinity and half-life.
- Potentially expand research to other antibody conjugates, such as siRNA conjugates (ARCs) or Radioimmuno conjugates (RICs).
Requirements:
- PhD in Pharmacometrics, Pharmaceutical/Biomedical Sciences, Computational Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with relevant software such as R, Monolix, NONMEM, MATLAB, or similar.
- Background in QSP, PK/PD, exposure-response modeling, or other modeling & simulation disciplines.
- Self-directed and highly motivated with a desire to learn new techniques and pursue research and publication goals.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with presentation experience and a strong publication record.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of pharmacokinetics and/or pharmacodynamic principles.
