We are a small group of local restaurants and venues, including baresca, escabeche, Perkins Bar & Bistro, and The Carriage Hall. Our focus is on delivering excellent fresh, flavour-packed tapas in a fun and vibrant atmosphere.
Job Summary
We are seeking an ambitious Deputy General Manager to help run our baresca tapas bar and restaurant in Nottingham City Centre. This is a hands-on operational role where your main task will be managing the team to deliver superb customer experiences in a bustling, busy environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Customer Experience
- Take responsibility for all aspects of the customer experience, ensuring high standards are met.
- Day-to-Day Management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the venue and service, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery.
- Staff Management
- Recruit, develop, and manage staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver excellent customer experiences.
- Financial Performance
- Assist the General Manager in managing the financial performance of the venue, ensuring it is profitable and in line with agreed budget.
- Legal Compliance
- Ensure the venue is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Property & Grounds Management
- Manage the property and grounds, ensuring they are well-maintained and presented.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must be customer-focused, immaculately presented, have great people management skills, and a keen eye for detail. You must also be able to work well under pressure and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Payment Package
The annual package is up to £37,200, comprising an annual salary of £31,200, performance-related pay of £1,000, and gratuities.
