Clinical Research Nurse/AHP Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Research Nurse/AHP to join our Core Research and Development Team at the Isle of Wight NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality research projects and providing exceptional patient care.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong interest in developing specific skills to become a research nurse. You will be self-motivated and driven to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to ensure patients receive a service of the highest quality.

Main Responsibilities
  • Identify and facilitate clinical trials appropriate for our clinical services
  • Manage and care for patients and participants in clinical trials
  • Ensure participant care, treatment, assessment, follow-up, and data collection are coordinated according to research protocols
  • Work collaboratively with research teams, clinical departments, and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration or Allied Health Professional with HCPC Registration
  • Post-registration education and training relevant to healthcare research and/or leadership and management
  • Experience of project management within a healthcare setting or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the Isle of Wight NHS Trust and the principles and practice of clinical research and/or clinical trials
