We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Husbandry Technician to join our scientific team at our Portishead site in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality animal care and support for our research studies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional animal care and welfare, ensuring the health and well-being of our animal subjects.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of animal health, stock, equipment, and environmental monitoring.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary materials, animal enrichment elements, and supplies for our animal units.
  • Support colleagues by performing various procedures, setting up equipment, and providing materials for studies.
  • Collaborate with Senior Technicians, Scientists, and Managers to ensure our models are well-supported and meet the highest scientific standards.
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols and report any quality issues immediately.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Biological Sciences, Animal Welfare, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for animal care and welfare.
  • Experience working with rodents or small animals is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel to our Portishead site daily.
