About the Role

Zest is seeking a skilled Bid Content Specialist to join our sales team. As a key member of our bid team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, compelling content for proposals and tenders that articulate our value proposition and win themes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Bid, Senior Bid Manager, and Bid Manager in writing and coordinating bid responses, ensuring timely submission and alignment with the bid cycle
  • Conduct customer research to maximize understanding of their requirements and align our win themes
  • Collaborate with the Head of Bid, Senior Bid Manager, and Bid Manager to develop storyboards for bid responses
  • Produce high-scoring proposal content that clearly articulates the benefits of our solution to meet specific client needs, aligning with the tender scoring matrix or market best practice
  • Review drafts for clarity, grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and formatting, ensuring responses answer the question asked
  • Utilize bid management tools to support comprehensive, timely bids
  • Stay up-to-date with bid documentation, including responses to clarification questions from clients
  • Deliver completed written proposal responses to the Head of Bid or Senior Bid Manager, escalating issues as required
  • Develop and manage a network of subject matter experts
  • Maintain internal content, ensuring our bid library, CVs, and subject matter content are up-to-date
  • Provide regular updates on bids in progress to the Head of Bid and CDO as needed
  • Engage with other sales team members and the wider business to ensure thorough and compelling bids are written and submitted
  • Manage time effectively to identify potential conflicts with bid timetables
  • Communicate issues and partner with other team members to address them ahead of time
  • Support the bid team to ensure all bids are progressed in line with appropriate governance processes
  • Attend business review meetings, including quarterly in-person review meetings
  • Perform other duties as required by the leadership team
