About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our capital projects team, you will play a crucial role in delivering complex projects that meet the technical and environmental requirements of our Project Brief.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineers, asset management, and operations, to develop fit-for-purpose solutions that balance innovation, value for money, and resilience.
  • Work closely with consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations, as well as our policies, standards, and expectations.
  • Conduct audits and review Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Safe Systems of Work to support our 'triple zero' Health, Safety, and well-being vision.
  • Identify and manage delivery risks and opportunities, and contribute to the creation of Project Briefs and responses to RFIs.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, with a requirement to be on-site two to three days a week.
Requirements
  • Education to a degree level in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Background in working in a design and construction-related role.
  • Awareness of applying Construction (Design and Management) Regulations CDM 2015.
  • Technical knowledge and expertise within your discipline, with the ability to work with various engineering disciplines.
