Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Civil Engineer to join our industry-leading aviation infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with other Associates, liaise with architectural and building services teams, and interface with clients to deliver high-quality design solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other Associates to deliver design solutions
  • Liaise with architectural and building services teams to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Interface with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
  • Produce design programmes, reports, and specifications
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery
  • Assist with fee proposals, tender submissions, and project interviews
Requirements
  • Civil engineering and pavement design experience
  • Knowledge of airfield infrastructure design and CAP 168, EASA, ICAO, and military standards
  • Experience working in a live airport environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and design disciplines
  • Commercial and buildability requirements knowledge
  • Experience managing a design team of engineers and technicians
  • Civil 3D experience and knowledge of construction materials used in airfield infrastructure
  • Knowledge of drainage design and experience working in the Design and Build environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Chartered with Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) with a minimum of 10 years design experience
  • Aviation infrastructure design experience using CAP 168, EASA, ICAO, and military standards
  • Understanding of how an airport operates (airside operations)
  • Pavement design using DMG27 and FAA design standards
  • Awareness of Airfield Ground Lighting and airport infrastructure services
  • Ability to contribute to fee proposals, tender submissions, and project interviews
  • Knowledge of contracts, e.g. NEC suite of contracts and preparation of tender documents
  • Experience of mentoring team members
