Sports Graduate Role - Teaching Assistant

Ribbons and Reeves is seeking a motivated Sports Graduate to join our team as a Teaching Assistant in Waltham Forest. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a passion for sports and education to gain valuable experience working with young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support students aged 5-11 displaying challenging behaviour, helping them engage positively with school life.
  2. Use your sports and coaching background to provide structure and motivation, encouraging teamwork and discipline.
  3. Assist teachers in managing classroom behaviour, ensuring a focused and productive learning environment.
  4. Work closely with the pastoral and learning support teams to develop tailored behaviour strategies for individual students.
  5. Act as a positive role model, offering guidance and building trust with students in need of additional support.
Requirements:
  1. A Sports Graduate with experience in coaching or working with children, particularly those who display challenging behaviour.
  2. A bachelor's degree from a top 50 UK University.
  3. Confidence in managing behaviour and motivating young boys, with a genuine passion for being a role model.
  4. Strong communication and teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively with staff and independently support students.
  5. Experience in a school setting or with child-centred activities is essential.
  6. An Enhanced Child DBS is required to interview for this role.

This is a one-year contract with term-time only work, offering a competitive weekly salary ranging from £475 to £550, inclusive of Holiday Entitlement.
