Our External Reporting team is a key component of Ocado Logistics' finance function, responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting and consolidation services to support business growth and decision-making.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our External Reporting team, overseeing the production and timely delivery of consolidated financial reporting, including the Group's Full Year, Half Year, and UK Subsidiary entity accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and compliant preparation of financial statements, as well as developing and maintaining the Group's accounting policies in line with current IFRS and other statutory guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the year-end and half year-end financial statement reporting processes to produce reporting in accordance with IFRS and relevant statutory requirements.
- Prepare and present significant elements within the Annual Report.
- Act as the key point of contact for external auditors, ensuring the efficient planning and execution of the year-end audit and half-year review.
- Liaise with relevant departments on the preparation of information for the year-end audit and the half-year review.
- Own the timely preparation of annual financial statements for the Group's UK subsidiaries.
- Assist in implementing new accounting standards and other reporting requirements, working with colleagues across finance to embed the required processes.
- Support the development of relevant Ocado Logistics reporting policies and manuals, providing insight across the wider finance community.
- Contribute to commercial projects, such as acquisitions, providing guidance and advice on reporting implications.
- Support ad-hoc initiatives, e.g., system improvements.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant with 3+ years PQE.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and experience of preparing/auditing listed entity financial statements under IFRS.
- Experience within a large-scale plc reporting environment.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth, global organization.
- Experience with ERP and consolidation systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion, Oracle EPM).
