Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Roaming IT Engineer to join our team at Class Technology Solutions Ltd. As a Roaming IT Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance to our clients in the Harrow/Slough area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide first- and second-line technical support to our clients, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Network Maintenance: Perform regular checks on client systems to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Escalation Point: Act as the escalation point for technical issues, escalating to the CTS Helpdesk as necessary.
  • Problem-Solving: Think creatively to find solutions to common problems and provide technical expertise to assigned customer networks.
  • Client Communication: Effectively communicate technical information to clients and commercial information to account managers.
  • Project Participation: Participate in engineering projects during school holidays.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience managing enterprise-level network infrastructures and service desks.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with virtualization (VMWare or Hyper-V), cloud services, and professional qualifications (degree) or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or equivalent.
  • Specialist IT Qualifications: Aruba, Cisco, HP, or other enterprise-level software/hardware qualifications.
  • Education Sector Experience: Experience in the education sector is desirable but not essential.
  • Driving License: A valid UK driving license is required.
