About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a General Kitchen Assistant at Stir. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with our team to create a welcoming and efficient dining environment
  • Operate our tills with confidence and accuracy, providing excellent customer service at all times
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to our high standards of food hygiene and health and safety
  • Support our chefs in the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals, using our fresh and sustainable ingredients
What We Offer
  • A competitive hourly rate of £11.44
  • A 20-hour working week, Monday to Friday, with no late nights or weekends
  • 38 working weeks per year, based around term time, allowing for a great work-life balance
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities, including apprenticeships and training courses

Requirements
  • A friendly and versatile personality, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a passion for delivering outstanding experiences
  • Previous catering experience, with a basic knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 (desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided)
