About the Role

Climate17 is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Asset Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of solar assets, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and optimizing project performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Management: Ensure that all solar assets are in compliance with relevant regulations, including health, safety, and environmental performance, local planning authority requirements, grid company connection conditions, and power purchase agreements.
  • Project Optimization: Monitor contractor performance during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure that all contracted service level agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded.
  • Maintenance Strategies: Review and enhance maintenance strategies and activities to reduce downtime, review regular and other reporting provided by contractors, and ensure that any issues are suitably addressed.
  • Performance Monitoring: Identify and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the performance of each asset.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify equipment faults, carry out diagnoses, and troubleshooting activities with support from operations and maintenance (O&M) or the monitoring team.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular asset management reports on each asset.
  • Operational Problem-Solving: Diagnose and remedy operational problems with support from O&M and the monitoring team.
  • Site Visits: Visit company sites to assess the status and conditions of the solar assets, with a maximum of four visits per year per project.
  • Spare Parts Management: Manage spare parts, insurance, and warranty claims, review site performance calculations, record and review key deadlines under project contracts, and schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
  • Data Security: Maintain data security under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and any associated UK legislation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Comply with all required fire and health, safety, and environmental (HSEQ) regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Possess advanced Excel skills, including understanding of macros, visual basic, Python, or SQL, and experience in interpreting mechanical and electrical engineering drawings, work instructions, and design reviews.
  • Experience: Have 3-5 years of experience in solar asset management, operations and maintenance, construction, or consultancy, with experience in remote monitoring systems on plant and equipment, preferably solar.
  • Qualifications: Hold IOSH managing safely or other H&S qualifications, such as HV awareness and WTSR's, which are desirable.

Location

Remote working, with office and site travel as required.
