Position: Senior Web Developer
Compensation: Up to £60,000
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days per week in-office)
We are excited to collaborate with Oakwell Hampton, a reputable Digital Agency with over two decades of experience in the field. They provide a nurturing and adaptable work environment and are transitioning to an Employee Ownership Trust. This means that by joining the team, your contributions will have a direct impact on your success and rewards.
Key Duties:
- Architect, develop, and launch innovative websites and web applications.
- Improve and modernize existing web platforms.
- Create clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.
- Work collaboratively within a dynamic team to achieve high-quality project outcomes.
As part of the team, you will engage in a diverse range of projects, from developing sites for small enterprises to working on infrastructure for major financial institutions. Expect to encounter new, exciting, and challenging tasks regularly.
Essential Qualifications:
While the team is flexible regarding the technologies you have previously worked with, it is crucial to have experience as a fullstack web developer, as this role encompasses both front-end and back-end responsibilities.
Must-Have Skills:
- Proficient in both front-end and back-end development.
- Experience with PHP.
- Familiarity with ReactJS and NextJS.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in cloud server setup and maintenance.
- Knowledge of frameworks used with WordPress would be highly beneficial.
- Understanding of JAM stack, Ruby on Rails, and database systems such as MySQL/Postgres.
Personal Attributes:
Given the small team size (12 total, including 4 developers), it is essential to be a self-sufficient and pragmatic developer. The environment is supportive, and there is a willingness to assist you in learning the various technologies in use. However, this position may not be suitable for those still finding their footing in the field.
