Residential Childcare Support Worker Location: Gloucester Contract: Shift Pattern- ad-hoc cover Salary: £ per hour plus sleep in shifts when required Headway Adolescent Resources were formed in and has established a good reputation in the residential adolescent childcare sector, and pride themselves in having the insight and ability to care for young people as individuals in a holistic manner, regardless of their background. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Professional to join our team in a residential setting. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behaviour. Based in a children's residential home, you will work collaboratively with a team of professionals to create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the well-being and development of our residents. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing individualised care and support to young people, including assistance with daily living tasks and emotional support
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals
  • Participating in shift work, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of care plans and risk assessments
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of young people's progress and well-being

You will also need to be flexible, resilient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
