Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Electrical Assembly Technician to join our team at Mark Roberts Motion Control Ltd. As an Electrical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and testing electrical/mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies to ensure they meet specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test electrical/mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies to ensure they meet specifications
  • Receive partially completed mechanical or electrical/electronic assemblies or parts from other departments and assemble them according to the build procedure checklist
  • Accurately follow circuit, wiring, and system diagrams to wire and assemble various complete assemblies
  • Create build procedure checklists if required during assembly
  • Assemble all additional parts called for on an order, such as special cables or brackets
  • Pass final products to Quality for configuration and approval to Ship
  • Cut and prepare wire and cable using the correct tools and processes
  • Solder components with high levels of accuracy within tight timeframes
  • Use a variety of tools, including crimp tools, to create high-quality parts

Requirements:

  • Time served apprenticeship/qualification or proven experience in a wiring and test engineer role
  • Able to confidently read circuit diagrams and wiring diagrams
  • Ability to solder various type connectors, from small Hirose to D-Type
  • Ability to use various crimp tools
