CNC Programmer Job Description

**Job Summary**

Pluswork Group is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining programs for various manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement programs for CNC machine tools using various CAM packages, including SmartCAM and GibbsCAM.
  2. Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure programs are suitable for manufacturing operations.
  3. Use ProEngineer to interrogate models and produce programs for complex machined profiles on milling, turning, and turn/mill machines.
  4. Manage and develop programs and methodologies for various manufacturing processes using specific and bespoke software.
  5. Estimate product costs for sales and assist with compiling machining time for quoting new work.

Requirements:

  • Ability to understand various machine and process protocols (Fanuc, Okuma, Mazak, Mitsubishi, etc.).
  • Validated generated software programs.
  • Practical engineering apprenticeship experience.
