About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at The Lighthouse in Lancashire. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support and care to children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans and risk management strategies.
  • Participate in therapeutic activities, such as group work and individual sessions, to promote positive behavior and emotional regulation.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, personal care, and domestic activities.
  • Communicate effectively with children, young people, and colleagues, using appropriate language and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Either have or be working towards an NVQ level 3 qualification in a relevant field.
  • Have previous experience working with children and young people, preferably in a mental health setting.
  • Be a team player, with a passion for working collaboratively to improve the lives of children and young people.
  • Commit to upholding the highest standards of care, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
