Job Title: SEN Teacher

TeacherActive is proud to be working with schools in Stoke-on-Trent that support vulnerable children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). These schools cater to children and students with needs such as disruptive behavior, Global Developmental Delay, ADHD, and Autism.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teacher, you will be working with students, which may include outdoor activities and various teaching methods. You will be a key figure in their lives, and our teachers always look for fun and unique ways to engage students in the classroom.

Responsibilities:
  • Teaching students with SEN in a supportive and calm environment
  • Developing and implementing individualized lesson plans to meet the needs of students
  • Working closely with teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student support
  • Providing feedback and guidance to students to help them achieve their goals
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • 6 months of previous SEN experience
  • A calming and caring persona
  • Flexible and able to cover classes last minute
  • Effective behavior management skills
  • Effective communication with internal staff
