We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join our team at RecruitMe on an interim basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the largest providers of homes in the West Midlands, employing almost 1,000 people across the business.

The purpose of this interim role is to provide support to the Payroll Team, including the production of the group's payroll, and to assist the Payroll Manager with various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Payroll Team in the production of the group's payroll, including processing payrolls from start to finish.
  • Assist the Payroll Manager with various projects, including implementing changes to payroll processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to two payroll officers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including employees and management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a payroll team and processing payrolls from start to finish.
  • Experience of working within a project team and playing a key role in project delivery.
  • Reporting into the Payroll Manager, responsible for two payroll officers.
  • Excellent knowledge of payroll systems, including Civica.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel, and strong numeracy and analytical skills.
