Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the management and leadership of research nurses and administrative staff within the research team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the management and leadership of research nurses and administrative staff within the research team.
  • Liaise closely with research teams, patients, carers, and study organisers to ensure high-quality care and adherence to study protocols.
  • Maintain effective communication and safe working practices within a complex regulatory framework.
  • Be responsible for maintaining a caseload of patients participating in a range of clinical trials across multiple specialties.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Evidence of good teamwork skills.
  • Broad range of clinical nursing skills.
  • Budgetary and resource management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize ensuring effective and efficient workload completion.
  • Good report writing, with a focus on accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Research nursing experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of research design and methodology.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and willingness to develop technological computer skills further.
