Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily assembly operations to maintain an efficient workflow and ensure high-quality output.
  • Develop and manage assembly schedules on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Implement company policies, procedures, and ensure compliance among both new and existing employees.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to all assembly operatives to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Lead, motivate, and coach the assembly team to meet performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Promote and uphold a strong Health & Safety culture within the assembly area.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on assembly performance for senior management.

Requirements

  • Relevant management experience with strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across different functional areas.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing and steel fabrication production and assembly processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior management.
  • A delivery-focused management style, with the ability to set targets and meet deadlines consistently.
  • At least 5 years management experience in a production or manufacturing role, with a strong understanding of quality control processes and procedures, adherence to Quality Manual procedures, and experience working in ISO9001 accredited workplaces.
  • Experience with ERP systems and MRP/capacity-driven production schedules, as well as familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems/Shop Floor Data Capture.
  • Experience working with a Manufacturing Engineering function on data, process, factory layout, and New Product Introduction (NPI).

Working Hours and Benefits

  • Working 39 hours, Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30, Friday 08:00 – 15:30.
