Job Summary
Savills Management Resources is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team in a corporate environment. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our building and tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality guarding services in all positions, including patrolling the premises and monitoring CCTV systems.
- Integrate and work effectively as part of a team, maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times.
- Follow instructions and guidance from the Security Manager, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of working practices within the building, including emergency procedures and site-specific protocols.
- Prevent unauthorized access to the building, ensuring that all security measures are in place and effective.
- Conduct regular patrols, checking all vulnerable points and ensuring that fire exits are clear at all times.
- Monitor and report any breaches of security or safety protocols to the Security Manager.
- Adhere to site-specific AIs and SOPs, ensuring that all procedures are followed correctly.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the building's layout, including the location of clients and their respective floors.
- Utilize good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Monitor work-related communications, staying up-to-date on all relevant information and tasks.
- Develop a good understanding of general Health and Safety principles, ensuring that all practices are in line with company policies.
- Perform additional duties as required, dependent on the operational needs of the building.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a security role, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High level of physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work a varied shift pattern, including nights and weekends.
