Role Overview

Our Asset Management division has earned a reputation for delivering exceptional service in the Renewable Energy Asset Management sector. As one of the leading providers in the UK, our dedicated team of asset managers, technical specialists, and financial accountants operates from various locations.

We are seeking a talented relationship builder who is passionate about climate change to join us as a Junior Renewable Energy Asset Coordinator. You will work in a collaborative environment designed to promote sustainability and employee well-being.

The Exeter team is a close-knit group of experts specializing in the management of solar parks and wind farms, delivering outstanding service to our clients. You will gain hands-on experience, becoming familiar with the sites we oversee and the clients we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the commercial and operational functions to optimize the value derived from renewable energy assets.
  • Collaborating with a talented team across finance, performance, and engineering to ensure compliance and performance standards are met.
  • Participating in ESG initiatives focused on biodiversity, environmental stewardship, and community engagement.
  • Conducting site visits to assess safety, operational efficiency, and site conditions.
  • Gaining proficiency in SCADA and BI tools to analyze performance data, validate reports, and explore enhancements.
  • Working together to investigate the performance of renewable assets, identifying underperformance issues, determining root causes, and proposing solutions.
  • Assisting in the management of operations and maintenance contractors, including regular meetings and handling operational events.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with third-party stakeholders, internal owners, and a diverse range of partners.
  • Preparing investor reports by coordinating with operations contractors and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Accurately documenting incidents, remedial actions, and resolutions.
  • Supporting fellow Asset Managers in delivering comprehensive service.

Skills & Experience

  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of quickly establishing rapport and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn in a dynamic environment, with the potential to make a significant impact.
  • Degree-educated (or equivalent) with excellent analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Organized and methodical, with strong listening skills to comprehend complex information and communicate effectively.
  • Basic proficiency in Python programming, with the ability to analyze large datasets to identify trends and extract insights.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, leveraging programming skills to integrate data sources and automate processes.
  • Comfortable interpreting API documentation and implementing requests to connect and retrieve data from various sources; experience with databases/SQL is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft suite of applications.
