About the Role:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Material Planner to join our team at Tencent. As a Material Planner, you will be responsible for building demand forecasts for our products and live services, driving an optimized life cycle management, and setting relevant KPIs to measure and track live services performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for our products and live services, taking into account market trends, competition, and business model options.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive an optimized life cycle management, ensuring that our products and live services are aligned with business goals and objectives.
- Establish and track relevant KPIs to measure and evaluate the performance of our live services, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, and develop corrective actions to ensure the success of our live services.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to inform business decisions, leveraging data and analytics to drive informed decision making.
- Support the development of business strategies and plans, working closely with Studio and Product leads to ensure that our live services are aligned with business goals and objectives.
- Share value-added insights and accurate reporting with relevant partners, driving informed decision making and ensuring that our live services are optimized for success.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in demand planning, data analytics, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in a multinational landscape.
- Confirmed experience in the gaming industry, with a strong understanding of Premium, F2P, and GaaS business models.
- A passion for games and a keen eye for market trends and data, with advanced Excel skills and business software intelligence skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to identify and articulate on genre, gameplay, and market opportunities, making clear recommendations from multiple data points and communicating precise messages through simple rationale and business narrative.
- An open and flexible mindset, with strong collaboration and communication skills, and excellent English language proficiency, both written and spoken.
- Exhibit a strong sense of responsibility, self-drive, and capability of managing work under tight timelines and across different time zones.
- Ability to focus on priority, take initiatives, and positively challenge the status quo to influence a better outcome.
