Excelcare Holdings is a family-run organization with over 34 years of experience in providing exceptional care to elderly individuals with diverse needs, including dementia, physical disabilities, and mental health challenges. By becoming part of our team, you will be welcomed into our 'family' and in recognition of your commitment and efforts, you can anticipate:
- Competitive hourly wage ranging from £12.60 to £13.00 based on your experience and qualifications
- A full-time contract of 48 hours
- Flexible shifts available, including day or night options from 8am - 8pm/8pm - 8am, with a requirement to work alternate weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Lead Care Support Specialist, you will mentor and collaborate with a team of Care Assistants to ensure that exceptional care is consistently provided.
- You will report directly to the Home Manager and work closely with ancillary teams and fellow Senior Care Specialists.
- Engaging in meaningful activities with residents while promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect will be essential to your role.
- Your participation in developing personalized care plans and conducting risk assessments will be crucial for delivering outstanding care, with regular updates and reviews required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant, with an NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or three years' experience without an NVQ.
- Experience in a nursing or care home setting or as a home care worker.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, particularly the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Knowledge and experience working with individuals living with dementia is preferred.
- Previous experience in prompting/administering medication using an electronic e-MAR system is advantageous; however, comprehensive training and support will be provided.
