About the Role

The Shift Manager will be responsible for ensuring the plant is consistently running over 5 days to achieve productivity targets, with Health and Safety at the core of all decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example in maintaining the highest standards of Health and Safety on the shift.
  • Deliver production KPIs across the team to achieve the operational plan in all aspects of people management, safety, productivity, quality, hygiene, and machine performance.
  • Ensure the plant runs consistently over the 24/5 period during the shift.
  • Provide engaging and empowering leadership to drive safety standards and achieve operational success.
  • Motivate and develop the skills of team members to improve competences and confidence levels.
  • Plan resources and manage the Time and Attendance system.
  • Work closely with the Continuous Improvement team to drive necessary standards and engage with ideas and initiatives that bring improvements and cost savings to the business.
  • Maintain site hygiene standards and ensure all departments follow BRC protocols to maintain AA accreditation.
  • Work with the engineering team to achieve planned PPM and TPM schedules, maximizing machine reliability, efficiency, and reducing downtime.

About You

You will have production management experience, ideally from working in a Corrugator or Conversion industry. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, guide, and coach a team, as well as lead by example with your excellent people management skills. You will also have the ability to learn new techniques to convert into best practice, with the energy and enthusiasm to drive the overall business goals and be competent dealing with data and using Microsoft office suite.
