Job Title: Warehouse & Auto-Palletisation Operator

Location: Pontefract

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract - 3 Months

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse & Auto-Palletisation Operator to join our team at KP Snacks in Pontefract. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for operating an Automated Palletisation system and performing various warehouse tasks via a range of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) while adhering to all safety, quality, and procedural controls required to supply our customers with product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilise a variety of MHE to carry out unloading and put away of inbound deliveries of raw materials, packaging materials, and pallets and loading of finished products for outbound distribution.
  • Operation of an automated palletising system, including general operation, interventions to clear blockages, routine clean, inspection, and lubrication (CIL) activities, and reporting any defects found with the equipment.
  • Carry out regular/periodic cleaning in line with established Cleaning Schedules.
  • Pallet Management/Tracking/Counting – ensuring that production are provided with pallets at all times.
  • Ensure that the work environment is safe and conducive for workers to carry out their duties without subjecting them to any harm or danger.

Requirements

  • Essential – Fork Lift Licence (Reach & Counter-balance).
  • Extensive experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Machine operation experience – ideally of a palletisation system.
  • Good IT skills (required to use WMS such as Autostore/JDE and MS Office applications).
