Code Protection Engineer

Fortinet's Code Security team is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Software Security Specialist. This role involves working on the development and deployment of code security solutions that integrate with our Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming languages, software development, and cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities- Integrate code analysis tools with engineering workflows to enable developers to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
- Evaluate and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of open-source and in-house code analysis tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Management, Support, and Sales, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of code security solutions.
- Develop technical specifications and design documents to guide the development of code security solutions.
- Write high-quality, well-documented, and well-tested code to ensure the reliability and security of our code security solutions.
- Participate in code and design reviews to ensure that our code security solutions meet the highest standards of quality and security.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong understanding of programming languages, software development, and cybersecurity principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
- DevOps experience, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) and source code management systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
- Knowledge of security attacks and defenses, including threat modeling and vulnerability assessment.
