We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Exterior Design Specialist to join our team at Alexander Fisher. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing exterior design solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop exterior building envelope solutions, including cladding and façade systems.
- Collaborate with our design director and team to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Conduct site surveys and take measurements to create accurate drawings and specifications.
- Liaise with manufacturers, external structural engineers, and architects to ensure design and quality issues are addressed.
- Monitor and revise assigned drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Respond to technical queries and make recommendations to resolve problems.
- Assist with site inspections to monitor and manage technical quality of works.
- Engineering or architecture-related studies or equivalent experience.
- CSCS card basic level.
- Experience in façades, EWI, cladding, and rainscreen systems is essential.
- Competent user of MS Excel, MS Word, Project Probe, and Microsoft Outlook email and calendars.
- Expert AutoCAD user (3D AutoCAD/SketchUp/Revit optional).
We offer a competitive salary of £38-44K, negotiable depending on experience and ability. This is a full-time position, and we require the successful candidate to be located in the London area.
