Position: Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse

Organization: English Martyrs Catholic Primary School, part of the Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust.

Contract Type: Temporary 1 Year Contract

The Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust encompasses multiple educational institutions, including three secondary schools and twelve primary schools. Our mission is to foster collaboration across our academies, enhancing our collective strengths and resources.

Working Hours: 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 12pm to 6pm, during term time only.

Salary: Grade 7 Scale Point 19-23, with an actual salary of £18, £20,208.65 per annum (FTE £29,777 - £32,076). Salary adjustments pending the April 2024 NJC pay award.

We are looking for a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse who will collaborate with the Nursery Teacher to design and execute a well-rounded early years curriculum. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, safe, and inviting atmosphere for children, allowing them to grow at their own pace in line with the current Curriculum Development Framework Document.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certificate of the Nursery Nurse Examination Board (NNEB)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning & Development
  • CACHE Diploma
  • BTEC Diploma in Childcare
  • Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (Level 3)

  • Experience in supporting primary age children
  • Understanding of numeracy and literacy within the primary curriculum
  • Confidence in managing children's behavior and ensuring their well-being
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills with pupils, colleagues, and visitors
