At Home Instead, we are committed to delivering tailored support for our clients throughout Northwest Kent County. Our mission is to enable individuals to live safely and comfortably in their own residences while promoting their independence.
We are currently seeking a devoted Senior Care Professional who exemplifies kindness and understanding in providing care for the elderly. Your role will involve assisting clients with their daily needs and serving as a mentor to fellow Care Professionals. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing unexpected client visits that require attention.
On-call Responsibilities
- Participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule (available for client visits that require coverage) with varying levels of demand - some weekends may be less busy, while others may necessitate constant readiness.
- Engage with a diverse range of clients needing assistance within our service area.
- Deliver personal hygiene support, prepare meals, administer medications, perform light housekeeping, and maintain accurate records of activities and visit notes.
- Provide assistance in the office as necessary.
Availability Requirements
- Minimum commitment for weekend coverage from Friday evening to Sunday evening.
- Flexible weekday hours can be discussed if additional support is required.
Compensation
- £75.00 retainer fee for on-call duties.
- Hourly wage of £13.00 for client visits.
- Additional reimbursement for travel at a rate of £11.44 per hour pro rata.
- Extra compensation for fuel expenses at 30p per mile.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Excellent communication abilities and a strong team-oriented mindset.
- Deep understanding of person-centered care principles.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a caregiving role.
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.
- Comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidate.
