Platform Resourcing is currently working with a leading manufacturing company to expand their team by taking on a Quality Assurance Specialist in a manufacturing environment.


  • The working hours are Monday to Friday shifts;
Week 1: 6.00am – 2.00pm, Week 2: 2.00pm to 10.00pm and Week 3: 10.00pm - 6.00am


This will change as of January 2025 to a 2 shift pattern - It will be on a 2 week rota.

Week 1: 6am - 6pm, Week 2: 6pm - 6am


The pattern would be 2 days in, 2 days off, 3 days in, 2 days off, 2 days in, 3 days off and so on.

Quality Assurance Specialist Benefits:

  • Salary of £26,000, plus 10% yearly bonus (£26,000 in the 1st year) rising year on year as your pay increases

Quality Assurance Specialist Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for testing and analysing manufactured product in controlled laboratory conditions, confirming that the product delivers against specification.
  • Responsible for testing core materials, ensuring they meet correct specification.
  • Input all test results in the format required, ensure all documentation is kept up to date in an orderly manner.
  • Identify trends and highlight suggestions for improvement
  • Assist with and prepare operational KPI data for analysis
  • Monitor testing equipment performance to ensure process stability and control
  • Be an important influence in product and process development trials
  • Manage the laboratory keeping the workplace to a high standard
  • Able to highlight any quality issues to management in a timely manner
  • Support the Process Conformance Engineer with project work
  • Satisfy the business' Factory Production Control requirements against all standards
  • Any other reasonable tasks assigned by your manager

Key Requirements:

  • Experience within a Quality based role in a manufacturing environment is essential
  • Can interpret test data and material behaviors
  • Can work diligently against standard operating procedures
  • Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to think logically and methodically
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems normally required
