Position Overview

As a Treasury Solutions Advisor at Affina Search, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional consulting services within the treasury domain.

Role Summary:

The primary objective of the Treasury Solutions Advisor is to enhance project outcomes by leveraging extensive software expertise and industry knowledge while guiding fellow team members.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Offer industry-specific insights and problem-solving support during the discovery phase, design, implementation, testing, and ongoing support of the treasury solution tailored to meet client requirements.
  • Facilitate presentations of the treasury solution to client stakeholders.
  • Assist Technical Consultants by providing business and functional direction, reviewing, testing, and validating scripted solutions (including reports, plugins, and interfaces) as directed by the Product Manager.
  • Engage with client stakeholders to identify business needs and workflows that the treasury solution will address.
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge in various aspects of Treasury Management System (TMS) configuration and treasury operations.
  • Guide Business Consultants in specific functional areas of the treasury solution.
  • Contribute to the establishment of best practices in professional services as directed by the Line Manager.
  • Take on hands-on implementation responsibilities throughout all phases of the treasury solution deployment, reporting directly to the Project Manager.
  • Collect and document business requirements, configuration designs, test plans/results, and any other project deliverables as specified by the Project Manager and Lead Business Consultant.
  • Keep the Line Manager and Project Manager(s) updated on the progress of assigned tasks.
  • Adhere to best practices in implementation across various functional areas of the treasury solution, ensuring quality in all functional designs, specifications, custom coding, unit testing, and other deliverables.
  • Follow established documentation standards and resolution processes for all project deliverables.
  • Maintain full chargeability on assigned client accounts.

Essential Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Proven treasury experience with hands-on knowledge of TMS, preferably with IT2 or Reval.
  • Cash & Liquidity Management: Expertise in cash management, pooling & sweeping, and cash forecasting.
  • Debt Management: Knowledge of short-term and long-term debt, as well as trade finance.
  • Investment Strategies: Familiarity with money market funds, deposits, capital markets, and equities.
  • In-house Banking: Experience with intercompany loans, internal trading, and multi-lateral netting.
  • Risk Management: Understanding of foreign exchange, interest rates, commodities, counterparty risk, scenario analysis, and value at risk.
  • Back Office Operations: Proficiency in confirmations, payments, and regulatory reporting.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Experience in treasury accounting and hedge accounting.
  • Bank Account Management: Skills in account inventory, signatory management, and bank fee analysis.
  • Reporting Skills: Ability to create reports, dashboards, and process maps, as well as utilize published data sources and crystal reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or a related IT field, or equivalent experience in a relevant area.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a project team structure.
  • Willingness to work on-site as required.
