About the Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer at 3M, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of innovative professionals who are passionate about creating cutting-edge products. Your expertise in manufacturing processes and lean techniques will be essential in driving process improvements and optimizing production lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement process improvements
  • Develop and maintain lean manufacturing techniques and six sigma methodologies
  • Optimize production lines and assembly processes to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Lead projects to improve process capability and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
  • Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve production issues
  • Develop and implement training programs to improve employee skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Bachelor's/Master's/Apprenticeship degree or higher in an Engineering discipline
  • Significant hands-on experience in a manual and automated assembly manufacturing environment
  • Experience of lean manufacturing techniques and six sigma methodologies
  • Experience of manual and automated assembly processes, and a proven track record of process capability and OEE improvement
  • Experience in project management
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Versatile and a self-starter able to work without supervision
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with line balancing and practical knowledge and application of Lean/Six Sigma mythologies
  • Six Sigma / Lean experience, ideally Green Belt or higher
  • Project management
