Job Title: Assessor/Lecturer - Engineering

Kingston College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Assessor/Lecturer in Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and teaching engineering apprentices, ensuring they meet and exceed their target grades and are successful in their studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess engineering apprentices in the workplace, ensuring they meet the required standards and are successful in their studies.
  • Teach engineering students, providing high-quality instruction and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to ensure students meet the required standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Section to ensure students meet and exceed their target grades.
  • Provide prompt and constructive feedback to students, helping them to improve their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, specifically Machining, Maintenance, and Manufacturing up to Level 4.
  • Assessor qualification related to engineering.
  • Experience of successful assessment and delivery of engineering apprenticeship standards.
  • Awareness of academic quality standards and the ability to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning support.
