Our business has grown significantly since its inception, and we are now looking for a skilled Production Manager to lead our production team and help shape the growth of our company.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the production of our artisan food products, including gelato, sorbet, pizza dough, cakes, and pasteurized organic milk. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing production schedules, managing stock levels, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities- Production Planning: Develop and implement advanced monthly production schedules, including assigning daily tasks to employees, overseeing quality and workflow, and adapting to the needs of the business.
- Team Leadership: Lead the production team with a positive, solutions-oriented spirit, emphasizing collaboration and innovation.
- Quality Control: Ensure the highest quality standards are met in all production processes, including food safety and HACCP.
- Inventory Management: Manage stock levels, including ordering supplies within budget and with appropriate lead times.
- Staff Management: Manage staff rotas, holiday planning, and performance evaluations.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain weekly and monthly cleaning schedules, and ensure the production area is clean and safe.
- Experience: Proven experience in food production, preferably in a similar industry.
- Leadership: Ability to lead, give direction, and provide supportive feedback to a small team.
The successful candidate will work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm, with occasional weekend work during seasonal peaks. The role is based on-site at Forest Farm Dairy, Aberdeenshire.
