Page Personnel Sales is a leading recruitment agency specializing in sales and marketing talent. We are partnering with a fast-growing, award-winning Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering and Transport Planning consultancy to find an exceptional Transport Planner to support their expanding team.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Transport Planner to join our client's team. As an Apprentice Transport Planner, you will be responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of various projects, including budget and time management, and collaborating with senior colleagues to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage small to medium-sized projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Develop and review Transport Assessments, Statements, Technical Notes, Travel Plans, Access Appraisals, and other related documents.
  • Utilize modeling packages and methodologies to calculate trip generation and distributions, providing valuable insights to inform project development.
  • Conduct site visits independently, gathering data and providing professional opinions to inform scheme development.
  • Attend project team, client, and Local Highway Authority meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Assist in preparing materials for and attending Public Consultations, promoting transparency and community engagement.
  • Develop strong relationships with architects, planners, local highways officers, and other stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Contribute to fee proposals for small to medium-sized projects and provide input on larger sites as required.

Requirements

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • At least 2 years of Transport Planning experience, preferably with membership in a professional organization.
  • Working knowledge of relevant design guidance and awareness of local planning policies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to respond efficiently to demands at a high standard.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, work effectively as part of a team, and on own initiative.
  • Experience working with computer-based systems, including Microsoft programs.
  • Proficiency in using AutoCAD, TRICs, and modeling software.
