Electrical Engineer Job Description

Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Power Company to recruit an Electrical Engineer for a traveling role around their UK sites, to be based in London or Kent.

The Electrical Engineer role comes with a competitive salary of up to £75k plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes 12% pension contribution, private medical, and a car for business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage your own scope of work, including working on Electrical equipment such as High Voltage switchgear, generators, transformers, rotating plant motors etc.
  2. Execute site electrical projects safely and within budget.
  3. Develop asset management strategies to optimize plant efficiency.
  4. Identify areas of improvement across the plant to increase efficiency.
  5. Ensure maintenance plans and targets for the team are achieved safely, on time, and within budget and to the correct quality within the environmental limits of the station.
  6. Direct and supervise on-site contractors.
Requirements
  1. A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Previous experience in Electrical maintenance or engineering in a heavy process environment.
  3. A Safety qualification such as IOSH / NEBOSH or equivalent.
