About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hard Services Projects Engineer to join our team at BAE Submarines. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects and services that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead and manage hard services projects within the BAE Submarines site, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and vendors to coordinate project activities effectively.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilise your technical expertise to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, lighting, power distribution, and fire safety systems.
  • Site Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Technical Support and Guidance: Provide technical support and guidance to the onsite engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Client Liaison: Act as a point of contact for client queries and concerns, demonstrating professionalism and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the facilities management or engineering industry, with a strong background in hard services.
  • Project Management Skills: Sound knowledge of project management principles, including project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Results-Driven Approach: A proactive and results-driven approach, with a desire to continually improve and innovate.
  • Relevant Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field would be advantageous.
