Grounds Maintenance Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team in Reading. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and health of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining lawns, gardens, and other outdoor areas through regular mowing, strimming, and hedge cutting
  • Operating a company van and fuel card to complete tasks efficiently
  • Wearing a uniform provided by the company
  • Working independently to complete your own grounds maintenance round

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday, 07:00am until 16:00pm with a one-hour break
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of £12.83
  • The opportunity to work with a well-established grounds maintenance company
  • Temporary to permanent contract with the possibility of NVQ enrollment
